High School Placement

High School Ahead

High School Ahead

Planning for high school is exciting, significant, and often times challenging. With so many schools and variables to consider, choosing a high school can seem like an overwhelming task. Marin Montessori will work in partnership with you as you investigate and pursue this important transition.

The key to a successful high school experience is finding a good match. There are many fine independent schools in the Bay Area that have attracted—and been attracted to—our students. Marin County also has excellent public schools that have appealed to MMS families. We encourage you to investigate both before you make a firm commitment to one direction. Knowing as much as possible about all of your options will enable you to feel confident and comfortable when making important decisions about school.

Various resources, tools and information will help streamline your search and discovery process. They are highlighted within this new section of the Marin Montessori website, and include a timeline for organizing and planning, tips on visiting and assessing schools, taking tests, interviewing and preparing applications, and guidance in determining best options.

So—Be organized. Make a plan. Gather information. Keep expectations reasonable. Support one another. Look forward. High school is just around the corner.
