The Gather is MMS's biggest fundraising event—and what an event it is! A committed team of volunteers works throughout the year to collect fabulous auction items and plan a thematic gala event that is enjoyed by parents, faculty and staff, alumni, and all MMS friends.

The Gather starts at 5:30pm with signature cocktails, passed hors d'eouvres, fantastical entertainments, and a shot at your cameo in the photobooth. Come early to mingle and bid on Buy-In Parties. Then celebrate the bounty of the season with dinner followed by a curated live auction and the focus of our fundraising—Fund-the-Children. We'll have plenty of time to dance the night away with live music from Vintage Jukebox.
Family sponsorships for The Gather include two tickets to the event, but more importantly, make it possible for members of our dedicated faculty and staff—teachers, assistants, hard-working support crew—and their spouse/partner/friend to celebrate with us. Specifically, the amount contributed above and beyond the cost of your tickets helps to underwrite faculty and staff tickets, and provides a unique opportunity to show that we support both them and the school.Two Family Sponsor levels are available:

The Gather is the one time each year we all come together to celebrate our vibrant school community. It's an opportunity to make new friends and solidify old ones while enjoying a special night out in support of MMS. Together we will raise funds for our most important community-funding need—Tuition Assistance—and support our school's commitment to economic diversity.

What should I wear to The Gather?
Let yourself be inspired by a magical woodland and twinkling lights! Come in character, or come as you! There is no pressure to wear a costume to The Gather - please dress in whatever way is fun and festive for you. For those who want to dress up, remember that many costumes can be easily assembled from items you already have in your closet or a few simple accessories.
What is the paddle raise all about? At The Gather, we ask our community to raise funds – together – for tuition assistance. Tuition assistance keeps our community whole. It allows all of our students to learn from different perspectives and life experiences, and even a small amount of assistance allows students’ close friends to be here and stay here. A full one-third of our students receive some form of financial aid.
In the spirit of celebration and giving, please raise your paddles and give generously to Fund-the-Children! Increments are $10,000, $5,000, $2,500, $1,000, $500, $250, and $100. If you can't make it to The Gather this year, you can still give to tuition assistance on our ticketing page and be counted in the total amount!
Will there be a live auction? Yes. There will be a small, curated live auction with several very special items up for your bidding pleasure and the main event will be Fund-the-Children in support of our Tuition Assistance Program.
