Thursday Bulletin | November 12, 2020 Message from Head of School Dear FIRSTNAME, "They grow up so fast" is a common parenting refrain that I'm sure you've heard before. As a parent of two teen sons, I can say that at times parenting has felt slow and laborious. But mostly, yes, our children do grow up so fast. It is essential to take moments to pause and savor exactly where our children are in the moment, suspending even for just a minute our perseverations about where we want them to go with their futures. Let's not miss the moments that matter, for once they are gone, they are gone.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Spotlight Exciting Announcement: Introducing "Families of MMS: Celebrating Our Vibrant Community"
What? The purpose of Families of MMS is to learn about and celebrate the special qualities of our families--to connect, learn, and enjoy. Families will volunteer to be featured in the new Families of MMS section of the Thursday Bulletin. They will respond to questions like these:
How? Are you excited to help with this project? If so, please send an email to dei@marinmontessori.org letting us know. We'll then schedule a date for your family's submission and give you more specific guidance, including additional question possibilities. Your family can then either write your responses, record an audio file, or record a video. You will also send in a family photo for us to share along with your submission.
With excitement,

MMS Relief & Annual Fund "MMS and the educational experience it affords is unique and valuable. We have great regard for the people who have supported us and our kids. We want to see the program thrive and succeed. The values, skills, and awareness that MMS cultivates will continue to 'give back' through the students who pass through its doors, as they develop as adults and make their own contributions." - Alumni Family No matter the size of your gift, a donation to the MMS Relief & Annual Fund shows your support and confidence in our work with your children and adolescents. Crew Connection We couldn't do what we do without each amazing member of our team. This space is dedicated to highlighting a member (or two!) of our Crew. Everyone on our team will be featured throughout the year, and our hope is that we all feel connected with one another even though we are unable to all connect in person. Ashley Anderson, Great White Egret Classroom Assistant (School Biography here) What would you like people to know about you and the work you do at MMS?
What inspires you the most about working at MMS?
Aside from the stunningly beautiful campus and location, I am inspired by the wisdom and guidance offered by my colleagues. Everyone has such a wealth of knowledge to share, and the collaboration that happens when we all come together is incredible. I feel very lucky to work alongside such remarkable people. Who is the most influential person in your life and why?
The most influential person in my life is my grandmother. She is the epitome of resilience, independence, and living the life she felt she was destined for, not the life she was expected to live. Her optimism and wisdom are treasures in my life!
If you could have any superhero power, what power would you have and why?
Teleportation! There is so much world to see, I would love to be able to travel to wherever I wanted, whenever I wanted. For Small Hands Catalog - Make Your Home Montessori Order Age-Appropriate Montessori Items for Your Home
