Tuition and Tuition Assistance

The Sustainable Tuition program is not merely a financial aid program but a testament to our dedication to making MMS accessible to a wide array of families. By aligning tuition costs with each family’s financial capacity, we not only facilitate but also celebrate the rich tapestry of varied life experiences and perspectives brought into our community.

The Tuition Assistance that our Sustainable Tuition Program provides is an invaluable tool for making the MMS experience more accessible, welcoming, and inclusive.

Sustainable Tuition enables approximately 30 percent of our students to attend and continue at MMS. 

Our Sustainable Tuition program enables families who might find our standard tuition fees a challenge to pay an amount that is thoughtfully calibrated to their financial standing. This ensures that the power of the MMS education is accessible to all.

Here's how it works:

• Thorough Assessment: Families submit financial details via our financial assessment tool, Clarity, which evaluates various factors to determine an “Expected Family Contribution.” The consideration is not solely numerical but also appreciates the unique circumstances of each family.

• Consistent Support: Upon being awarded Tuition Assistance, MMS pledges to continue tailoring the tuition in alignment with your family’s yearly "Expected Family Contribution," subject to annual reapplication.

Tuition Assistance is available for families in Primary, Elementary and Junior High. 

For current MMS families, applications are due in late November 2023. For families new to MMS, the Tuition Assistance application is due on February 1, 2024. 

Tuition Assistance Awards are sent with Re-Enrollment Agreements for returning families or with the Acceptance Letter for new families. They are included in the Enrollment contract.

To get started, please go to the Clarity Application and create an account. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. The Clarity Application is also mobile-friendly so you can complete it from anywhere. You are also able to save your progress and return at any time.

At the end of the application, there is a $60 fee to submit, and you can share your application with additional schools that accept the Clarity Application for no additional charge. Simply use the dropdown menu in the application to select those schools.

Please remember to return to your dashboard after you complete and submit your Clarity Application.  

The deadline for completing the financial aid application including relevant supplemental documents is:

• December 1, 2024 - returning families
• February 1, 2025 - prospective families

If you need support during the process of completing your application, there is in-app support available through the “Help” button in the bottom left of the screen, as well as email and phone support at support@clarityapp.com or 206-210-3752, in both English and Spanish. The application itself is also fully translated into Spanish.

• Enduring Support: We aim to sustainably support returning families, ensuring that unless financial circumstances dramatically alter, assistance is consistently provided.

• Welcoming New Families: Aspirations of new, mission-aligned families are nurtured by facilitating entry into our community through financial support when needed.

• Adaptation to Changing Circumstances: Should financial stability shift for returning families not previously on Tuition Assistance, we seek to extend our support with an empathetic understanding.

Notes:

• Tuition Assistance is not available for the Toddler program due to limited class size.
