Junior High

Challenge my mind. Allow me to contribute.
Help me to be and belong.

Dr. Maria Montessori believed that secondary education ought to focus far more than it has historically on meeting the needs and characteristics of adolescents, providing them the physical environment, adult support, and healthy community that better ensure their success within their generation.

Marin Montessori School has created a junior high school that sets out to help every adolescent successfully navigate an extremely transformative developmental phase in a person’s life — and enjoy doing it: A school that deeply engages the young mind (experiential learning is well suited for a rapidly changing brain); a school where it’s safe to grapple with social and emotional growth without fear; a school where teens can positively explore who they are and how they’ll contribute as adults.
