Junior High - Erdkinder

Challenge my mind. Allow me to contribute.
Help me to be and belong.

Marin Montessori School's Junior High - Erdkinder is uniquely designed to meet and serve the developmental needs of students 12 - 15 years of age. The prepared environment at Marin Montessori School's Junior High provides experiences where the students' academics contribute to the greater good of the community and where valorization of the individual is continually realized. Young adults, using their emerging skills and knowledge, solve real-life problems and gain a sense of purpose and confidence that validates their efforts, providing them the rewards of academic growth and a great sense of accomplishment.

Marin Montessori School's land-based Junior High provides countless opportunities, such as sustainable agriculture, archaeology, or watershed studies, for a balanced approach to classroom and hands-on learning, connecting theory and practice, and encouraging creativity and higher-level thinking.
