Parents' Association
Support. Promote. Communicate.
Our Parents' Association does it all.
The Parents' Association (PA) plays an important role in community-building, fundraising, parent education, and outreach efforts that support the vision and mission of the MMS community. All parents at MMS are automatically members of the PA and are welcome and encouraged to offer their time and talent through a wide variety of events and projects.
PA meetings are held regularly during the school year and give parents an informal opportunity to interact and learn more about how to be involved on campus. In addition to these gatherings, the PA plans family picnics, parent socials, and other celebrations to bring everyone together in the MMS spirit.
One of the most important functions of the PA is to collaborate with the MMS Board of Trustees, Faculty, Administration, and parent volunteers to plan and staff school events and projects. This includes outreach efforts to prospective families through Fall & Spring Community Open Houses, hospitality services for parent education events, and assistance with ad hoc projects based on matching the talents of our parent community with the needs of MMS.
In addition to community activities, the PA works to raise essential funds for the school by hosting events such as the Annual Auction and the Book Browse, as well coordinating the ongoing sale of MMS Spirit Wear. The PA is also very proud to coordinate service projects around Marin County throughout the year to meet the needs of our community and our planet.
There is always a wide range of opportunities for parents to participate in PA activities. Please contact any of the PA Officers directly for more information.
